The IS215ACLIH1A board component is part of GE’s Mark VI turbine control system. The MKVI was one of the final Speedtronic systems offered by General Electric and can be used to control industrial turbine systems from large to small.

The IS215ACLIH1A board functions within the Mark VI system as an Application Control Layer Module. This module uses a microprocessor-based master controller. The board is designed to use several kinds of communication networks including Ethernet and ISBus.

The IS215ACLIH1A can be used with either EX2100 exciter board racks or within a standard Innovation series drive.

The IS215ACLIH1A is built with an attached front faceplate. This faceplate includes two COM ports, an Ethernet port, and two ISBus ports that each has two LED indicators. Additionally, the faceplate has a reset switch, four LEDs that are labeled OK, Active, ENET, and Flash, as well as eight status LEDs. The faceplate has two set screws to lock the unit into place once it has been installed.

The board portion of the IS215ACLIH1A includes a CPU with a 486 type processor, a PCI controller, 128 KB L2 Cache controlled by the PCI controller, 1 MB BIOS, 8 MB DRAM, dual-ported RAM, and a bus target interface. The board also has reset switch logic, a flash memory device, and PCI/ISA bridge connected to the PCI controller.

This particular Application Control Layer Module comes designed with a single 10BaseT Ethernet port, two ISBus ports, and two serial COM ports. ISbus communication is unique to the ACLI units only. This module includes an IS200ISBA daughterboard to provide this. ACLI board versions are not used by exciter systems. --AX Control Tech team.
