EPG Electrically Powered Governor

easYgen-2000 Series

The easYgen-2000 Series by Woodward is a compact, affordable genset control and protection package for synchronizing and load sharing of up to 16 gensets in island operation or parallel operation. The controller utilizes a password protected multi-level configuration access hierarchy.

easYgen-3000 Series

Woodward easYgen-3000 Series genset Controllers for gas and steam turbines and compressors. Woodward Industrial Turbomachinery Control and Protection Systems. The easYgen-3000 Series is available for simple paralleling as well as for complex paralleling applications. The easYgen-3000 Series is able to control up to 32 gensets connected in a network with automatic sequencing.

505 Digital Governor Turbine Control

505D Digital Governor Turbine Control

The Woodward 505D Digital Governor Turbine Control is an integrated graphical front panel HMI screen that featues a multilingual interface. The new 505D builds on the standard 505 platform now with expanded communication protocols, control algorithms, and advanced service tools.

505E Turbine Control

Woodward 505E digital steam turbine control. The 505E can be configured to operate single extraction and/or admission steam turbines of all sizes. The 505E also features a unique PID structure, making it ideal for applications where it is required to control several steam plant parameters at once. The field wiring of this equipment must be able to operate at least 75 degrees Celsius for temperatures expected to exceed 50 degrees Celsius.

505 LST Turbine Control

Woodward 505 LST Turbine Control. A user-configurable digital steam turbine controller for steam turbines of all sizes and applications with a friendly OCP allows plant operators to easily start and stop the turbine as well as enable/disable all control modes. The series is suitable for Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D or non-hazardous locations.

ProTech-GII Overspeed Protection

The ProTech-GII is a device designed to safely shutdown steam, gas and hydro turbines, as well as motors, compressors, reciprocating engines and other equipment, upon sensing an overspeed or over-acceleration event. The ProTech-GII consists of three independent modules with independent trip outputs or 2-out-of-3 configuration.

ProTech 203 Overspeed Protection

The ProTech electronic two-out-of-three Overspeed Protection System is a digital overspeed trip device that senses prime mover speed through three magnetic pickups. This series consists of three identical, independent, speed-sensing units which continuously monitor prime mover speed and activate a trip relay when an overspeed condition is detected.

EM Digital Driver

Woodward’s EM Digital Drivers provide reliable actuation systems for various prime mover control applications conforming to industry standards. Using RS-485 and a MicroNet control system, these systems offer high bandwidth and accuracy for applications such as flow control valves, gas valves, and variable steam valves. The digital drivers provide extensive fault monitoring, offering trip alarms and user-defined shutdowns.

2301A Electronic Load Sharing and Speed Controls

The Electronic 2301A Load Sharing and Speed Control Series from Woodward controls the speed or load of diesel or gas engines, or steam or gas turbines. These units are housed in a sheet-metal chassis and consists of a single printed circuit board. The 2301A Speed Control provides control in the isochronous mode with droop available through an externally wired potentiometer.

2301D Digital Load Sharing and Speed Controls

The Woodward 2301D Load Sharing and Speed Controls series controls load sharing and speed of generators driven by diesel or gaseous engines. The 2301D is a microprocessor-based digital control designed to include the functions of and be compatible with 2301A load sharing controls.

The SPM-D21 provides automatic frequency, phase and voltage matching using either analog or discrete output signals.

AGLC Automatic Generator Loading Control

The Woodward AGLC Automatic Generator Loading Control is used to soft load in and out of a load sharing loop. It features bump less power transfer, electronic ramps with adjustable rates, and is used to base load 1 to 15 generator sets joining a utility. The controller is equipped with a base-load feature, this feature can be activated by a contact closure.

DSLC Digital Synchronizer and Load Control

Generator Loading Control

The Woodward Generator Loading Control series is used with Woodward load sharing and speed control systems like the EG, 2301, 2500, and EPG. It controls and allows adjustment of the electrical load assumed by the generator set(s). The Generator Loading Control can be used for soft loading and unloading of generators.

Load Sharing Module

The Woodward Load Sharing Module works well with not just Woodward equipped engines, but other larger engines as well. Additionally these units come with speed controls that are well suited for isochronous as well as droop load sharing. Furthermore this series is meant to work with others that come standard with a 0-5 Vdc speed setting.

The Woodward MicroNet series features a customizable control system designed for controlling steam and gas turbines. Each part number features separate useful usages, coders, and fault codes. Many of these parts will be necessary for your systems to add features and to create new functionality.

Servo Position Controller

The Woodward Servo Position Controller is a servo-valve driver that accepts a DeviceNet or (4 to 20) mA based position demand signal from a system controller, and accurately positions proportional or integrating servo-valves. The SPC has the required accuracy, responsiveness, and redundancy required for steam or gas turbine fuel valve control.

ProAct and ProAct Plus Driver and Actuator

Woodward ProAct and ProAct Plus Actuator and Drivers are Integrated Speed Control (ISC) Systems primarily used for gaseous and diesel-fueled engines. There are two different model types such as the PISC (ProAct Integrated Speed Control) and the PISC Integrated Throttle Bodies (ITBs) Controller. The ProAct and ProAct Plus Actuator and Drivers are used to control flow output through the electrically actuated butterfly valves. The ProAct ITBs are specifically designed to minimize external leakage of the charge fuel/air mixture.
