Product Description
The IS200VVIBH1A is a PCB manufactured by GE for their Mark VI system. The Mark VI is a management system for gas and steam turbines released by GE as part of the Speedtronic line. This system has Ethernet communications, a PC-based HMI (human-machine interface,) programmable software maintenance tools, and diagnostics located in the hardware and in the software.
The IS200VVIBH1A is a Vibration Monitor board that processes vibration probe signals from DVIB/TVIB terminal boards. Probes connect directly to the terminal boards but receive power from the IS200VVIBH1A PCB. Signals are digitized on the VVIB board and sent to the controller via the VME bus. Vibration probes are used to measure vibration, rotor eccentricity, differential expansion, and rotor axial position. Supported terminal boards include Proximitor, Velometer, Seismic, and Accelerometer probes of the kind supplied by Bently Nevada.
The IS200VVIBH1A has a front faceplate attached to the PCB using three screw connections. This faceplate has three LED indicators mounted in its surface that are labeled Run (green,) Fail (red,) and Status (orange.)
Two backplanes are located on the IS200VVIBH1A as part of the six connectors located on its surface. The board has over fifty inductor coil/beads, as well as a large number of capacitors and resistors. The board is built with integrated circuits, including SRAM and RAM chips. The board also has Xilinx Spartan FPGA (field programmable gate array) circuits. GE publication GEH-6421 or manuals referencing this part number will also provide more information, including installation guidelines. Please follow all safety procedures as recommended by the manufacturer.
