Product Description
Turbine Protection Circuit Board IS200VTURH2BAB is produced by General Electric and controls automatic synchronizing and three primary overspeed trip solenoids. It is also used with a variety of application-specific inputs and outputs. Some of the application-specific I/O’s range from a trip system, shaft voltage, current monitoring, and speed (pulse rate) inputs. When the VTUR is being used with pulse rate inputs, the four-speed inputs from magnetic sensors will be monitored by this model. There are several boards that the VTUR I/O terminations in the Control Module are used with, some of these boards are the TRPG, TRPS, TRPL, and TTUR boards. All of the boards mentioned are barrier-type boards.
There are several signal types that can be used with the IS200VTURH2BAB board; some of these include solenoid drivers, breaker interfaces, and potential transformers for the bus and generator. Some other I/Os used with the VTUR board are automatic synchronizing and primary overspeed trip solenoids. There are only three of the primary overspeed trip solenoids. The IS200VTURH2BAB board can also be used with a flame detection application-specific I/O. The unit can accept up to eight flame detectors as it is a VTURH2 model. The purpose of the VTUR board when being used with flame detection I/O is to monitor the pulses of current being generated. When being used with a Honeywell flame scanner a power supply of three hundred and thirty-five volts of direct current will be supplied. The VTUR can determine if carbon buildup or other contaminates to determine with the scanner window is causing reduced light detection.
