The IS200TBTCH1CAA functions as a Thermocouple Input (TBTC) terminal board.  It is manufactured by GE for the Mark VI system. The MKVI was designed to improve the overall efficiency of associated gas or steam turbines through modern and reliable management, using up-to-date technology built into a system with multiple automatic backups on critical controls and protection parameters.

The IS200TBTCH1CAA accepts 24 type T, S, K, J, or E inputs.  Inputs connect via [up to] #12 AWG wire to two barrier-type terminal blocks.  The terminal blocks each have twenty-four screw connections, which allows for twelve inputs per block.   The IS200TBTCH1CAA has two cable connectors (JA1/JB1) that connect the board into the VME rack. It is important to note the “ICAA” board can only be used in Simplex applications.  If you are running a TMR system, please order a TBTCH1B board, which has six connectors instead of two.

The IS200TBTCH1CAA is built with over eighty resistors.  The board has 100 capacitors and fifty ferrite beads, which suppress high-frequency noise.   The board has four integrated circuits, including a read-only chip with the board type, serial number, revision number, and J connector location.  The board is drilled or cut in several locations along the rear edge, as well as within the body of the board.

Inputs may be grounded or ungrounded.  The board includes a frame with a shield bar ground that is located to the left of the terminal blocks.
