Product Description
The IS200TBTCH1C is a Thermocouple Input (TBTC) terminal board manufactured by GE for the Mark VI system. As part of the Speedtronic line of gas/steam turbine management systems, the MKVI is designed to improve the efficiency of its associated turbines through reliable management using multiple backups on all critical controls and protection parameters.
The IS200TBTCH1C is designed to accept 24 type- E, J, K, S, or T inputs. The inputs wire into two barrier-type terminal blocks located on the leading edge of the board. These terminal blocks can be unplugged from the board if/when they need maintenance. It is worth noting the “1C” version of this board is for simplex applications only, due to its two DC-type connectors. If a TBTC board is needed for TMR applications, please look to a TBTCH1B board (that has six connectors.)
The IS200TBTCH1C connects to a metal frame that protects the edges of the board. This includes adding a shield bar ground to the left edge of the board in front of the terminal blocks. The board has two female cable connectors (JA1 and JB1.) These cable to I/O processors in the VME rack. The board is also populated by inductor beads (ferrite beads.) There are 100 capacitors on the board, as well as over eighty resistors. There are four integrated circuits on the surface. The board is cut or drilled in multiple locations along its edges and within the body of the board.
Thermocouple inputs attached to the IS200TBTCH1C can be grounded or ungrounded. The board supports all thermocouple spans documented for the associated I/O (thermocouple) processor.
