Product Description

The IS200SCTLG1ABA is a GE board component made for the Speedtronic Mark VI series.  This printed circuit board (PCB) is designed as a replacement part that fits within one of the MKVI rack systems for gas/steam industrial turbine control.   Mark VI systems have the capability of being designed as either simplex or as triple modular redundant systems.  TMR systems have three independent coordinating systems that act as backups to each other. 

The IS200SCTLG1ABA functions as a static charge control board.  It is a large printed circuit board with several mounted components.  This includes two high-voltage electrolytic capacitors surface mounted to the bottom corner of the board, along with other capacitors.   The board also has diodes and two variable potentiometers.  The potentiometers are used to adjust resistance.

Static charge control and damping is an important consideration when running any kind of electronic system.  Static electricity buildup can damage electronics and in extreme cases can potentially initiate explosions or trigger fires.   Additionally, static buildup can be dangerous to technicians working on components.    This is why AX Control recommends the use of a ESD (electrostatic discharge) wrist strap whenever possible.   We also store and ship all static-sensitive products in anti-static sleeves or wraps.
