Product Description

The IS200RCSAG1A is a component for the Mark VI system.  The Mark VI is designed around the central Control Module, which takes care of the majority of procedures and processes like protection, monitoring, and control of the system. This Control Module connects to a non-essential HMI (human machine interface) that allows users to then access system data from one location.

The  IS200RCSAG1A is a 1800/1000 Frame RC Snubber Board.  This circuit board is used in 1800/1000 Innovation Series non-regenerative sources to provide snubber circuitry for the SCR/diode module.  These boards have no fuses, LEDs, TP test points, or adjustable hardware. The board is designed to mount directly to the diode module/SCR for each phase.

The  IS200RCSAG1A insulates gate drive circuits from unwanted noise.  During commutation, the IS200RCSAG1A board protects the diode module/SCR from voltage overshoots between devices.  The IS200RCSAG1A uses a separate AC line filter, which is mounted outside the bridge cabinet.

More information about the  IS200RCSAG1A and its components and wiring may be found in GE publication GEI-100303.   This publication also includes a functional description of the board, warnings, installation guidelines, and safety and handling precautions.   GE recommends turning off the power going to the board and testing to be sure no power exists in the circuit board before touching any connected circuits or the board itself.  This procedure will help prevent electric shock.

AX Control will treat the  IS200RCSAG1A as a static-sensitive board at all times. This will include the use of an antistatic covering during shipment and special handling techniques during the boxing of the part.  Please refer to the abovementioned publication for more information on proper handling techniques.

(5.0)

This 1800/1000 Frame RC Snubber Board is designed for use within 1800 or 1000 Innovation Series non-regenerative sources. This board provides snubber circuitry for associated SCR/diode modules and is mounted directly to power devices. One RCSA board is needed per phase, three per regenerative source.
