Product Description

The IS200DSPXH1ADA circuit board, which is part of the GE Mark VI Speedtronic line, is a Digital Signal Processor Control board.  This PCB is designed for use within  Innovation Series drives and within EX2100 exciters to provide processing, interface, and logic functions.  

The  IS200DSPXH1ADA is built with a high-performance DSP (digital signal processor)  and an application-specific integrated circuit. The board runs at 60MHz.    The board includes a watchdog timer, stack overflow detection, and also has five differential pair application inputs that drive two 16-bit up/down counters.   These can also be used as up to ten discrete inputs. 

The IS200DSPXH1ACA has a front faceplate with two embedded LED indicators.  These are labeled “Status” and “Fault.”  The Status LED is green.  It is driven by the DSP and will flash when the DSP is running.   Solid on means stopped, and off means a fault has occurred.   The Fault LED is red.  It is also run by the DSP.  The Fault LED remains off when no faults are present but will be on or flashing during reset or if a fault is detected. 

The IS200DSPXH1ACA has multiple port I/O connectors.  This includes a P1 backplane connector, a P5 DSP emulator port, and a P6 engineering monitor port.  The P5 and P6 ports are mounted into the front faceplate.   There is also a P7 vertical pin port that is typically only used during development.
