Product Description

The IS215AEPCH1CA is a PCB component produced by GE as part of their Mark VI system.  Released as part of the ‘Speedtronic’ line of turbine management platforms, the Mark VI features a Central Control module connected to termination boards loaded in a 13- or 21- slot standard VME rack.  The Mark VI is ideal for both gas and steam applications and can be used for the integration of power island and BOP (balance of plant) controls. It has been designed as a ‘whole system solution’ for turbine management, with integrated hardware and software both specifically designed for optimal turbine control.

The IS215AEPCH1CA is a component-rich board that also features a connected auxiliary board.  This auxiliary (IS210BPPB) connects to the motherboard using screw connections that are threaded through the factory-made mounting holes located in each corner.   The BPPB board adds two jack connectors and two female plugs (one three-position and one multi-position,) to the primary board. It also adds the power of its multiple integrated circuits, resistors, capacitors and inductor coils.  The board is marked FA/00, E99006, and Type 6, and has two LED indicator lights on its surface.

The IS215AEPCH1CA is populated by eight plug connectors.  These are typically placed around the board edges. The board includes five jack connectors.  Other components include integrated circuits, diodes, and resistors. The primary board has a terminal strip with 48 screw connections located along one long edge of the board.  Voltage regulators are present, as is a line of metal oxide varistors. These two types of components will protect the IS215AEPCH1CA board from overvoltage situations, as the MOVs protect against transient voltages, while the voltage regulators are designed to maintain proper voltage levels.
