Frequently Asked Questions about IS210DTAIH1A

What is the IS210DTAIH1A model?

The IS210DTAIH1A model is a Simplex DIN-rail Mounted Analog Input Terminal Board. The model is compact and helps conserve cabinet space. There are analog inputs and outputs, but the inputs are greater than the outputs; the model has ten inputs and two outputs. The DTAI model also connects to the VAIC processor board through a single thirty-seven-pin cable.

What are the components of the IS210DTAIH1A model?

Some of the components of the IS210DTAIH1A model are forty-eight terminals that are permanently mounted to the board, a single 37-pin sub-D shell connector with latching fasteners, twenty jumpers, an alternate transmitter, an externally powered transmitter, and even more.

What wiring types are required when cabling is needed?

The required wiring types are shielded twisted pair #18 AWG wires.

Is there anything on the IS210DTAIH1A model that can hinder its functionality in the Mark VI system?

The only thing that can potentially hinder the function of this DTAI model is that it does not have a shield termination strip built-in; for a model with a shield termination strip, it would be wise to use the larger TBAI model as it can also connect to the VAIC processor board.

Product Description

The IS210DTAIH1A functions as a Simplex Analog Input/Output terminal board. This compact terminal board is available only in a simplex version. It has two analog outputs and ten analog inputs. The terminal board connects to the VAIC processor board via one cable. The IS210DTAIH1A is designed to mount to DIN rails using the plastic holder attached to its edges. It should be noted that in some cases, two DTAI models can be connected to the VAIC processor, which gives the model twenty analog inputs and four analog outputs.

The IS210DTAIH1A is populated by a single Euroblock-type terminal block with 48 screw mounts. Two screw mounts (43/44) will be used for a ground connection. Each terminal screw connection corresponds to a set of jumper switches used to configure current and voltage. The board has a total of twenty-one jumpers, including JP0 and JP1B-10B as well as JP1A-10A. Other components on the board include a 37-pin ‘D’ shell connector (JR1,) four sub-panels, integrated circuits, resistors, and capacitors.

The IS210DTAIH1A model is similar to the Analog Input Terminal Board (TBAI) as it has the same onboard noise suppression features and functions. For more similarities between the two boards, it would be best to refer to the GEH-6725 Instruction Manual to compare the two boards. The difference between the models is that the DTAI model can only be used in a simplex application, while the TBAI model can be used in simplex or triple modular redundant systems.

Reviews For IS210DTAIH1A

Internal Review
(5.0)

One of the best things about the DTAI model is that it is compact, and as such, the associated terminal boards can be stacked vertically to conserve space within the cabinet. Since the model is small it will allow for more boards to be mounted in the cabinet to allow for the Mark VI system to perform at the highest function. - AX Control Tech
