Product Description

The IS200VTURH1BAC is designed as a Primary Turbine Protection card within the GE MKVI Speedtronic system.  This control system, which can be built to offer either simplex or triple modular redundant control, has built-in IONet (Ethernet) communications and allows users to access most important data from a central Operator interface. 

The IS200VTURH1BAC is used for several functions.  This includes

  • Measuring turbine speed/generating primary overspeed trip
  • Controlling overspeed relays located on the TRPx boards
  • Monitoring induced shaft current and alarming when levels are excessive
  • Monitoring induced shaft voltage and alarming when levels are excessive
  • Monitoring (8) Geiger-Mueller flame detectors (gas turbines only) 

The IS200VTURH1BAC has a narrow front faceplate with only a few components mounted on its surface.  This includes one d-shell connector for connecting a cable, three LED indicators, and two pin clips for locking the board in place within the rack system. 

The board surface of the IS200VTURH1BAC is heavily populated by integrated circuits (over 60,) resistors, capacitors, 13 transistors, diodes, and inductor coils.  The board also has two backplane connectors and a single vertical pin connector for the addition of a daughterboard.  
The board has components on both the top and bottom surfaces.  

For additional important information, please refer to your original paperwork from General Electric, which should have included user guides and manuals for this product.  AX Control may be able to provide replacements if yours have been lost.  Only trained employees should install or maintain this equipment.
