Product Description

The IS200BICLH1ACB is commonly referenced in GE manuals as a BICL IGBT Drive Source Bridge Interface Board.  This board connects to the VME Type Rack of the GE Innovation Series with the two (2) connectors at P1 and P2. The IS200BICLH1ACB has a primary function of allowing for communication between the Innovation Series Drive Main Control Card and the installed Bridge Personality Interface Boards. These latter boards include the IS200BPIA, IS200BPIB, and IS200SCNV and would be installed in the same application as the IS200BICLH1ACB BICL Card. 

The BICL board includes a serial 1024-bit memory device. This memory device was programmed at the factory with board ID and revision information. The "CB" revisions that follow the IS200BICLH1A are a functional revision and artwork revision respectively. However, both are backwards compatible and differ in that respect from the "A" revision which is not backwards compatible.  

Physical Characteristics: The IS200BICLH1ACB is built with a front faceplate but has no ports available for use from the front of the module. The faceplate includes the board identification of BICL number and the round GE logo.  The bottom third of the board is marked “Install in slot 5 only.” It is important to note this board can be damaged by installation into the wrong slot.  

The IS200BICLH1ACB includes four relays and four resistance thermal detector sensor inputs, or RTDs.  Temperatures from the RTD can be accessed via single and dual mode. All information related to the use of the BICL can be found in GE publication GEI-100264 located under the manuals tab.
