Product Description

The 5FR4042 is a 2/5HP FlexPak 3000 DC V*S Drive. This drive was initially made by Reliance Electric and could have been a part of the ABB or Baldor Reliance product lines.

The 5FR4042 has an input of 230/460 VAC, 12 amps, and 50/60 Hz. It is considered to be a 3-phase drive. It has an output rating of 240/500 VDC and 10 amps. It has a short circuit rating of 5 kiloamps. It has a DC field rating of 150/300 VDC at 10 amps. It has an input torque rating of 55 lbs.

The 5FR4042 is a relatively large drive. This drive is roughly 19” tall x 11” wide x 11 ½” thick. It is not in a drip/dust-tight enclosure. It is not meant to be used in outdoor applications. It should be kept far away from liquids and corrosive materials. This drive should be mounted onto a metallic panel or flat surface. It should only be used vertically and never horizontally. It should not be operated from the floor.

The operator interface panel on the 5FR4042 is a keypad and display. It has an LCD display panel that will relay operating statuses and diagnostic information to the user. Beside of the LCD display is a white label that reads Fault Alarm, Interlock OK, Drive Ready, Running, Current Limit, and Torque Limit. The second section of keys are labeled control source select, auto/manual, forward/reverse, jog, stop/reset, and run.
