Greater Product Series Information
The MAPS-1 Multi-Channel Power Supply board, otherwise known by the number 418285-79A, is a board component manufactured by Reliance Electric for use within the company’s various drives. This is a high-voltage board that should only be worked on by well-trained technicians.
This MAPS-1 device's greater Drive Boards product series from the trusted Reliance Electric manufacture is by function an amalgamation of several antiquated RE series for the sake of our website's organization. With this being the case, it can be assumed that the Drive Boards series is fairly called a legacy RE product series.
Hardware Tips and Specifications
The MAPS-1 is a narrow rectangular board without any type of faceplate or extruder attached. The board is:
- drilled in six locations
- equipped with wide nylon spacers inserted into each of these
- marked with codes and warnings, including “High voltage zone DANGER,” “DANGER,” and high-voltage arrows
- including two header connectors on the top edge, stab-on connectors, and a two-story terminal strip on the left edge
- this component has two lines of five screws
Other board components include rectifier diodes mounted in heat sinks, a glass fuse mounted in a fuse holder, potentiometric meters, a toggle switch, and four red LED indicators. The board also has several surface-mounted high-voltage electrolytic capacitors, several transformers, a relay component, and transistors. Resistors may be carbon composite or metal film. Capacitors vary from electrolytic to ceramic to other materials. The board has several integrated circuits. Additional markings are located on the rear surface of the board.
