Product Description

The 803620-TA is an interface assembly from Reliance Electric.  This may also be labeled as a Reliance Electric Contactor.   Reliance Electric has a long history of manufacturing electrical motors, drives, and associated components.  The company has been in business under some name since the first decade of the 20th century.  Some Reliance components may be sold under other company names due to mergers or acquisitions.  These company names include Baldor-Reliance and Asea Brown Boveri. 

The 803620-TA functions as a Contactor within a larger system.  The contactor is composed of a housing base, a contact system, an electromagnetic system, and an arc extinguishing system.   The base is made up of a flat metal plate that has been factory drilled in several locations.  It includes several contact points to allow for connections from external sources along one edge.  These are individually numbered.  Contacts are wired to a vertically placed arc-extinguishing system.  This is also wired directly to a vertical component of the housing base.
