613613-100R Reliance Electric Fiber-Optic Cable 100 inch
The 613613-100R is a 100-inch long Fiber Optic cable manufactured by Reliance (ABB/Asea Brown Boveri/Baldor Reliance.) The 613613-100R is used to connect the UDC module and the PMI module together. Installation of the cable should only occur when both modules are turned off, locked out, and have the power tagged. The cable can be damaged if dropped, bent, or kinked. Dust cover caps should be saved to be replaced when/if the cable is removed from the rack for any amount of time.
The 613613-100R is designed with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) covering over a Kevlar-strength underlayment. This protects the interior fiber-optic threads. There are two individual fibers, separated by insulation. The cable is Manchester-encoded and transmits data at 10 Mbps. The cable is designed to eliminate ground loops. It is immune to electromagnetic interference.
Installation of the 613613-100R may require additional equipment, such as conduit or raceways. The cable should be installed away from sources of abrasion or vibration, such as moving equipment. It has an operating temperature range of -20 to +80 degrees Celsius.
