Product Description

The 612404-7R component,  from Reliance Electric, is a serial cable.  It is important to note this component may have been sold (depending on the year of production) under other company names like Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor-Reliance.   While the part is now discontinued, AX Control maintains a stock of the serial cable and sells it as a new surplus part or as a fully tested used item.   

The 612404-7R is one of several serial 4-pin assemble cables available from Reliance.  These cables have d-shell connectors on each end that include a set of two screws to allow the connector to marry and connect to its female counterpart securely.  The cable is protected by a PVC sleeve to maintain internal workings from damage. 

Installation for the 612404-7R can be found through user guides, product data sheets, or manuals that were initially provided to users by Reliance Electric.  The cable should be checked at regular intervals for evidence of fraying or other damage.  This is to ensure accidental electric shock does not occur due to a damaged cord.
