0-55325-1 Overspeed PC Protection Board
The 0-55325-1 is a small board component made and released by Reliance Electric for use within the company’s drive systems. This component functions as an Overspeed Protection board. The ID for this board has remained static through these changes, and will always reflect the 55325-1 number.
The 0-55325-1 is a small board with only a few components. It is designed with two right-angled flanges mounted into drill holes. These flanges are drilled on their vertical surfaces to allow for screw mounting to another surface. The board has three diodes, including (D3) which is a 10 Amp Schottky rectifier diode. This offers a lower forward voltage drop and high-frequency operation. The diode has a guard ring to allow for long term reliability and ruggedness. Other board components include white, black, and red wires with several types of ends. This includes screw mount rings, female stab-on connectors, and other connectors. The board is typically stored and shipped with the wires carefully bundled and held together with a zip tie.
