0-54200-2 Remote Driver board

The 0-54200-2 is a Reliance Electric circuit board that has been manufactured for use within the company’s drives.  This component typically has a Reliance logo. In some cases, however, the board may originate from ABB or from Baldor-Reliance. The part number in each of these cases will still reflect the 54200-2 number.

The 0-54200-2 functions as a Remote Driver board.  While most boards in this series have a front faceplate attached to their leading edge, this board instead has two insertion clips on its leading edge.  Insertion clips give technicians a location to grasp the circuit board without fear of damaging delicate components as they are installing the board into a rack system.  The clips also add a lever point to the edge of the board to allow for easier extraction when the board needs maintenance or replacement.

The 0-54200-2 is printed with a grid pattern.  The top edge of this is labeled with numbers from zero to 130, jumping by fives.  The other axis of the grid is labeled by two runs of letters.

The upper right portion of the 0-54200-2 is mostly empty.  The bottom and left sides of the board are populated by over 25 integrated circuits, TP test points, transistors, disk capacitors, and other capacitors, along with resistors and diodes.   The board uses surface wires.
