About the 0-52855
The 0-52855 is a Reliance Electric board component fabricated for use within the company’s various drives. The 0-52855 is a rectangular board component with an attached faceplate. The faceplate component has:
- seven rotary dials mounted into its surface
- two small openings
- one for a potentiometer to adjust volt gain
- a second for a red LED indicator labeled F. Min.
The rotary dials are labeled Current Limit, Current Gain, Volt off, Accelerate, Decelerate, Stabe, and FB Comp. Each rotary dial fastens to a potentiometer on the circuit board to the rear of the faceplate. The faceplate and circuit board connect together using screws.

The 0-52855 has nineteen integrated circuits. Resistors tend to be made from metal film, although some carbon composite resistors are used on the board, too. Capacitors on the board include ceramic disk and polyester vinyl capacitors as well as other types. There is a grid pattern printed across the board’s surface in place of using reference designators. The rear edge has an extended portion covered in a conductive material; this functions as a sort of backplane connector for the module. It also has:
- transistors
- capacitors
- diodes
- resistors
- two additional potentiometers
