0-52844-1 PCMB Control Module

The 0-52844-1 is a board and faceplate module fabricated by Reliance Electric.  This component is designed for use within Reliance drives. Most typically this board is marked with the Reliance logo; however, in some instances, your board may originate from Baldor-Reliance or more rarely from ABB.  This is due to changes in the Reliance company over time. The 52844-1 number will remain in the part number regardless of the manufacturer.

The 0-52844-1 is a PCMB Control Module.  This module has been taken out of production and is no longer made.   The front faceplate of this component has ten LED indicators and a single push button reset switch.  The LEDs are separated as a group of six and a group of four. The faceplate also has a set screw located at its top and bottom edge.  These screws keep the board locked in place when it is placed in a rack system.

The 0-52844-1 is populated by a number of different components.  The surface of the PCB is printed with a grid system. One axis of this grid is marked off by fives from zero to eight.  The other axis is labeled with letters. The surface of the board has three potentiometers, over twenty integrated circuits, resistors (primarily made of metal film)  capacitors, diodes, and transistors. The board uses surface wires in several locations. It has a conductive backplane located along its back edge.
