0-52840-655 CCC Card Reliance

The 0-52840-655 is a Reliance board component with attached faceplate, manufactured for use within various company drive systems.   Depending on the year this board was produced it may carry the Baldor-Reliance logo or a logo from ABB.

The 0-52840-655 functions as a CCC Card.  The front faceplate has eight rotary dials mounted in its surface.  These are labeled, from top to bottom, as 1P, rate, stab, ref cal, tach cal, max arm volt, fld cur, and zero.  The first seven of these dials can be set from zero to ten. The “zero” dial can be minimally adjusted. Each dial connects to a potentiometer located behind the faceplate on the surface of the circuit board.  

The 0-52840-655 is populated by metal film resistors.  It has multiple pin components placed across the board’s surface.  These are labeled extensively, often boxed off and numbered in the case of the Max Spd Tach. V. pins that are also individually numbered, or individually labeled, as are the pins near the “Major Loop Compensate” label.  Some of these pins are labeled fixed, fast, slow, fwd, and rev. Other labels seen on the board surface include Overload, Current Limit, Feed permissive, Speed Comp, current loop, seq. Delay, and jog function. Pins are sometimes used to connect components to the board, as is the case with one polyester vinyl capacitor.  In other cases, surface wiring connects one pin to another. Other components on the board surface include metal film resistors, capacitors of various materials, and a conductive backplane.
