0-51893-4 FCCE Field Controller Module

The 0-51893-4 is a Reliance FCCE Field Controller Module manufactured for use within some of the company’s drive systems.  There are several versions of the Field Controller or Field Exciter Controller available within this board series; please refer to your drive’s paperwork to verify which best suits your system’s needs before placing your order.  

The 0-51893-4  includes a front faceplate with a rotary dial component located in its top left corner.  The faceplate has an opening to allow wires from the circuit boards through to the front of the module.  To the left of this, there is a ten-position terminal strip positioned in the center of the panel. Not all terminals are labeled, but those that are, include labels such as 181, 182, F1, F2, 500V, 240V and COM.   The terminal strip is covered by a smaller covering that connects with two screws.

The 0-51893-4 has two primary board components with two auxiliary boards connected at ninety-degree angles.  The boards also have metal frames connected to their surfaces to add stiffness and structure to the module. These are screw mounted to the surface of the boards.   Components found on these boards include capacitors, metal film resistors, stab-on connectors with wired connections using surface wires, transistors, wire wound resistors, disk capacitors, and a large transformer.  Some capacitors in need of secondary support are zip-tied to the board. The boards also have several integrated circuits.
