0-51851-6  Regulator Control Module CRCG

The 0-51851-6 is a board component manufactured by Reliance Electric to be used within various Reliance drive systems.  This component uses a standard front faceplate connected to a circuit board component. It may be marked with a Reliance logo, or could possibly be marked as coming from Baldor-Reliance or ABB.   The part number will always reflect the 51851-6 number, regardless of manufacturer.

The 0-51851-6 functions as a Regulator Control Module.  The attached faceplate is populated with two set screws to hold the board in place within the rack system.  It also has eight rotary dials located on its surface. These can be set anywhere between zero to ten. The dials are labeled max spd, min spd, rate 1, rate 2, jog spd, lim 1, lim 2, and stab.  

The circuit board portion of the 0-51851-6 is populated along its front edge by eight potentiometers.  These connect to the rotary dials within the faceplate. The board has three large polyester vinyl capacitors that are each secondarily supported by zip ties.   The board has additional capacitors, including other polyester vinyl capacitors, ceramic capacitors, and disk capacitors. The board has metal film resistors and diodes, along with multiple transistors.  There are twelve integrated circuits on the board surface. The board is drilled in several places, and also has vertical pins for the addition of non-axial components. These pin connections are labeled IC, J2, 1R, 4R, 2R, 3R, 3Z, J1, 2Z and 1Z.
