About the 0-51839-7
0-51839-7 IRCH Overload Voltage Relay board
The 0-51839-7 is a PCB or printed circuit board manufactured by Reliance Electric. Now obsolete, 0-51839-7 boards were released over several years of manufacture and may be marked as Reliance boards, as Baldor-Reliance, or as coming from ABB (Asea Brown Boveri.) The part number remained the same.
The 0-51839-7 functions as an Overload Voltage Relay Card. The front faceplate attached to the circuit board is populated with a reset switch (red,) two red LED indicators marked VR Relay On and Overload, and a strip of contact screws numbered one through six. Screws three and four are also labeled OL and screws five and six are also labeled VR. The panel carries the board number and the Reliance logo.
The 0-51839-7 uses many instances of surface wiring. The reset switch mentioned above wires to the surface of the board using twisted red and black wires. Multiple wires extend from the back of the screw connections; many of these connect to the boards two relays, while others connect to points on the board. The board is populated with several integrated circuits, with disk capacitors and capacitors made from polyester vinyl, with transistors, and with diodes and resistors. The rear edge of the board extends in a “tail” that has three conductive tabs located on it. The board’s surface is printed with a grid pattern. The top of this pattern is numbered by fives and its left edge is lettered. More information regarding the board, its components, or operation or installation, can be found through Reliance publications like manuals or user guides.
