Product Description

The 0-51378-6 is a small printed circuit board component that acts as a gate coupling board within Reliance Electric systems.  This board functions as a gate coupling card.  It is one of several gate coupling cards available from Reliance.  These boards may also be marked as Baldor-Reliance or Asea Brown Boveri components. 

The 0-51378-6 is a nearly square small board component.  It has very few components on its surface.  These include one transformer mounted in a frame.  This is located at the center of the board.  Around this, the board has four stab-on connectors, resistors, diodes, and capacitors.  It also has mounting holes drilled into the board’s surface to allow connection to a thyristor assembly.  

Cards like the 0-51378-6 are often used as part of rectifier enclosures.  This includes thyristor pairs and their associated heat sinks along with the gate coupling cards and MOV suppression networks and dv/dt snubbers for line and load connections.  The gate cards “gate” on/off timing of power in the thyristors.  Modules can be low or medium power.
