Product Description

The GP-4203T Operator interface is a 3.5 inch HMI unit from Proface Xycom.  This unit is also available under Part number PFXGP4203TAD.    The GP-4203T is very similar to the Proface GP-4201T with the exception of this unit’s MPI port rather than a serial port.   This allows parallel data transmission vs. single-channel serial transmission. 

The GP-4203T is a color LCD TFT display with up to 65,000 colors.  The unit is CSA certified, UL listed, and CE marked, and is housed within a NEMA 4x/13 enclosure.  Minimum cutout requirements for this unit are 118.5 mm by 92.5 mm with at least 1.6 mm of depth allowed.   The unit uses natural air circulation for cooling and does not include any sort of fan.  For that reason, be careful to maintain its operating temperature through careful use in locations where the ambient temperature remains between 32 degrees Fahrenheit and 122 degrees Fahrenheit and the humidity is 10 to 90%, non-condensing.  

The GP-4203T offers sixteen levels of brightness and contrast control through the touch panel.  It has 16 MB of FEPROM programming memory along with 512 kB of SRAM.   Screen data on this unit can be updated via a data transfer tool using Ethernet, USB cable, or a USB memory stick.
