The LK-G82 module is a small spot, multi-purpose sensor head that was designed and manufactured by KEYENCE. The LK-G82 sensor head was designed to be included in the LK-G3000 series of cameras and similar products.
The LK-G82 sensor head uses a Class II, red semiconductor laser. This red semiconductor laser has a wavelength of 650 nm of visible light and an output of 0.95 mW. The LK-G82 sensor head’s spot diameter, at reference distance, is approximately ø70 µm and the linearity is set at +/-0.05% of F.S. The repeatability of the LK-G82 sensor head is 0.2 µm. The LED display indicates many different things, depending on the color that is illuminated. When near the center of the measurement, the LED display shows green lights, when within the measurement area, the LED display shows orange lights, and when outside the measurement area, the LED display shows flashing orange lights. The ambient light of the LK-G82 sensor head is emitted by either a fluorescent lamp or an incandescent lamp, both of which will be set at 10,000 lux maximum.
When installing or storing the LK-G82 sensor head, be sure to inspect the area. The enclosure rating is IP67. The ambient temperature must be set between 0 degrees Celsius and 50 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit and 122 degrees Fahrenheit). The relative humidity of the LK-G82 sensor head must be set between 35% and 85% RH with no condensation. The LK-G82 sensor head is made of an aluminum die-cast material.
The LK-G82 sensor head weighs about 0.84 lbs. or 0.38 kg., including the cable.
