Product Description
The IS200EDCFG1AED is an Exciter Direct Current (DC) Feedback Board designed as a component for the Mark VI series. The IS200EDCFG1AED is used to measure field current and field voltage at the SCR bridge. It interfaces with the EISB board in the control panel. The voltage isolation function on the EDCF board will be accomplished through a fiber-optic link; two fiber-optic links can be used to provide high noise immunity. The two typical fiber-optic links associated with this model are hard-clad silica-type fiber optics used for distances up to approximately three-hundred feet (90 meters) or a plastic-type fiber optic used for distances up to approximately thirty-three feet (10 meters). The field voltage feedback circuit on the IS200EDCFG1AED has seven selector settings that scale down the bridge voltage.
The IS200EDCFG1AED has two relays, a coil inductor, six integrated circuits, and multiple transistors. Heat sinks are used in two locations to help dissipate heat more quickly to allow components to work at their optimum level. The board has two plugs. These include a two-position plug labeled P1 and a four-position plug listed as an input. The EDCF board has one main connector, which is connector J16. This connector has two pins and has different but slightly similar functions. Pin one on the J16 connector is used for external power with a +24 VDC input to the DC-DC converter, while pin two is also used for external power and DC-DC conversion with a 24 VDC common.
All of the above information regarding the IS200EDCFG1AED model either comes from a visual inspection of the board or the GEI-100464 Instruction Manual attached above.
