An interfacing medium between the processor card and externally connected encoders and tachometers is provided by the device. All interfacing communications provide speed feedbacks that are relayed to the drive’s control board. It also converts the three current reference signals and the voltage level signal into voltage reference signals. These signals are then sent to the drive’s control board for command execution.After processing, those RS-422 signals are then sent to the motor control processor found on the drive. Included on the card are a number of configurable switches, jumpers, and potentiometers. These allow for users to be able to freely configure settings like signal filtering, and gains.
