The 531X128HMSAGG1 is a VA-4 MOV Card from General Electric. The 531X128HMSAGG1 has nine dark brown resistors with multiple colored bands. The resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. In electronic circuits, resistors are used in a multitude of ways such as reducing current flow, adjusting signal levels, dividing voltages, bias active elements, and terminating transmission lines, among other uses. The bands on the resistors correspond with a color code. Each colored band corresponds with a color in the code that gives it a numerical value. These numerical values are then used in an equation to calculate the amount of energy the resistor can restrict. The 531X128HMSAGG1 has fifteen vertical metal prongs around the circuit board. The 531X128HMSAGG1 has three areas for fuses. The 531X128HMSAGG1 has one large yellow polypropylene capacitor. The capacitor is so large that it is zip tied to the circuit board. Capacitors are used to store an electric charge, consisting of one or more pairs of conductors separated by an insulator. The 531X128HMSAGG1 has eight small black and silver diodes. The diodes control the flow of energy by having a low resistance in one direction and a high resistance in the opposite direction. The 531X128HMSAGG1 has one small red LED (light emitting diodes) which illuminates as an energy current passes through it. The 531X128HMSAGG1 has three large red squares that attach to the back of the circuit board. Each red square has two wires coming off each that connect to the vertical metal tabs.
