The GE Power Connection Board 531X121PCRAJG1 is a renewal part for multiple original equipment power connection boards. Before you consider a replacement of the 531X121PCRAJG1 you must realize that the board is part of a high-energy drive and can cause serious injury, if you don’t follow simple guidelines. The safety of the individuals performing the procedure must be the highest priority.

First inspect the area around the drive and clean up any spilled liquids or puddles of water, if you see any that would conduct electricity. You might want the moisture to dry completely before you continue. Also, the spilled water or moisture might be a slip hazard  and it is best practice to eliminate all hazards before they cause a problem.

The board replacement will require the use of hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and needle-nose pliers. Inspect the tools and use only tools that are approved for use on electrical devices. Inspect the insulation on the tools and don’t use any that have worn or missing insulation. Make sure the tools are fit for the purpose and are not over sized to work on delicate circuit boards or inside the drive enclosure.

The servicer should also have testing equipment on hand during the procedure for verifying that all current has exited the drive.  Follow the written instructions for using the equipment and verify that it is approved for the specific use.

The servicer should never work alone on the drive in the event an emergency occurs and the servicer needs assistance.
