The In-Sight line of devices ranges between the varying categories and specifications. This unit is a part of the 2000 series of In-Sight vision sensors and barcode scanners. The In-Sight lineup of products is available from Cognex Vision Machines, one of the leading manufacturing companies of barcode scanners and industrial camera modules.
The In-Sight 2000 line has several specifications, however, this unit is one of the several Mini modules in their own subcategory. This unit is listed as the IS2000-110 Mini. The Cognex Mini modules as a whole are designed with a frame that is 69 percent smaller than the usual In-Sight 2000 models. The Mini vision sensors are designed with a smaller frame so they can fit into smaller spaces in the workplace and are easier to set up and install.
The IS2000-110 Mini is outfitted with a standard series of hardware and features, such as an M12 liquid lens with autofocus capabilities, and can either be outfitted with a 6.2 mm lens or a 16 mm lens. The resolution are a standard 640 x 480 pixels, and lack any set of magnification capabilities.
The lighting system included with these units are a set of 4 modular red LED lights. These lights are cross-polarized and co-linear LEDs. The other color options that can be integrated instead are white, blue, and infra-red. They are outfitted with band-pass or polarized light filters.
