Product Description

Simplex Remote Transceiver Module 5503-336 XCVR sends and receives control data and address information for the associated Main XCVR module. The 5503-336 unit connects to the Main Chassis's VME bus. The chassis decoder determines if this chassis is to be accessed, and if so, it activates 5503-336 XCVR module to receive or send information.

Compared to other units in the MicroNet series, the 5503-336 is rather simple in the fact that it only has two connections in the front for the Main XCVR Chassis and two more at the rear for its own Remote XCVR Chassis.

The Remote XCVR module does not require termination resistors in all expansion chassis except for the last one in the chain. This module must be installed in Slot 1 of your VME Chassis.
