Introduction

The 5501-466 is a MicroNet, Simplex power supply board from Woodward. This model operates at an input voltage of 120 VAC/VDC. This board has two different operating ranges depending on the input used. When the board has been inserted into the Simplex chassis it will be located on the left side of the chassis and take up three slot spaces. The 5501-466 can be used with up to one more Simplex power supply board when it is being used with a redundant power supply.

Power Information

If the 5501-466 board is being used with a DC input, the operating range is 100 to 150 VDC. The operating range for AC input is 88 to 132 VAC (47-63 Hz). The nominal voltage rating of the 5501-446 also varies based on whether DC or AC is being used. The nominal DC voltage rating is 111-136VDC, while the nominal AC voltage rating is 98-120VAC. The fuse/breaker rating for VDC input is 10A time delay, and the VAC rating is 20A time delay.

Wire Specifications

This unit is rated for different wire sizes depending on if DC or AC is being used. For operation within the 100-150 VDC voltage range, the 5501-446 is rated for 14AWG / 2.5mm² wire. For operation in the 88-132 VAC range, the unit is rated for 12AWG / 4mm² wire. These wire size recommendations are rated for 60°C usage at 30°C ambient temperature.
