Product Description

The 5501-409 unit from Woodward Inc is a six-slot motherboard that was designed as part of the MicroNet Digital Control series. Most modules and boards with the MicroNet series can be used in either simplex or redundant systems but it is highly recommended that this board is not used in redundant systems. One of the features of this motherboard is the overtemperature switches of which there are three, the switches will switch when the temperature has surpassed sixty-five degrees Celsius and proceed to communicate with the GAP application and CPU. 

While the 5501-409 board cannot be used in simplex or redundant systems they can be inserted into MicroNet Plus or MicroNet Simplex chassis. The motherboard will be located on the back of the chosen chassis and allows for two power supplies to connect to form a redundant power system. Many of the modules of the MicroNet series will be connected through the motherboard, if the module connected to the motherboard needs to be removed toggle the modules slightly until they have been disengaged from the motherboard connectors.
