Product Description

Board 5501-380 is another one of the 5009/MicroNet TMR Power Supplies but compared to the 5501-370 module that operates on 24 VDC this board can operate on one-hundred and twenty volts of alternating current or volts of direct current. Along with this main difference, each voltage has a different input power fuse/breaker rating, the breaker rating for the 120 VDC is a 10 A time delay. All of the specifications regarding this board can be found on page thirty-nine of the 26167V1 manual.

The 5501-380 board can be used in multiple chassis systems but they must be used in different chassis configurations and connected to the same power source. Please note that not all of the chassis systems and their components require a full load from the main MicroNet TMR power supply. If the cabinet is not supplied by the adjoining power system the power connections needed will be made through the terminals on the front of the main power supplies.

On the front faceplate of the 5501-380 board, there are four LEDs, the OK led is green while the power supply fault, overtemperature, and input fault LEDs are all red. When lit all of the red LEDs will indicate that some type of error has occurred. For example when the overtemperature LED is on indicates that a thermal shutdown is likely to occur as the internal power supply has exceeded the set temperature of eighty degrees Celsius, anything above ninety degrees Celsius will cause the power supply to shut down. Once the internal power supply has fallen back below seventy-five degrees Celsius the LED will turn off.

Reviews For 5501-380

Internal Review
(5.0)

The 5501-380 board has LEDs on the front faceplate that indicate faults, there is an overtemperature fault that indicates the internal power supply is overheating, unfortunately between the time the LED lights up and the potential shutdown of the device is unknown and can cause issues. Information regarding how to fix these faults is on page 46 of the 26167V1 manual. - AX Control Tech Team
