Product Description

The 5466-1002 model is a MicroNet-Plus Power Supply module produced by Woodward Inc out of Fort Collins Colorado as part of the MicroNet Digital Controller series. This specific model differs from the previous two power supply models by the power input it operates on. This model operates on two hundred and twenty volts of alternating current which is far more than the two previous modules. This module can mount in two different chassis, a full-size chassis that has fourteen VME slots, or a narrow chassis that has eight VME slots, in whichever chassis you choose this module will mount in two of them. 

The reason for the design of the 5466-1002 module is to be used with the meticulous requirements needed for controlling prime movers. The prime movers that MicroNet-Plus modules are used with: 

• Compressor Control

• Gas Turbine Control

• Diesel and Gas Engine Control

• Hydro Turbine Control

• Steam Turbine Control

This unit has the ability to be used with simplex or redundant CPUs. When the device is being operated this controller is used with a graphical application programmer or GAP software. The programming provides methodical means to program logic for prime mover control. 

There are a number of different standards that the 5466-1002 module operates on, these standards are as follows; CSA, ATEX, CE (EMC and LVD) ABS, and DNV. These standards can be found in the MicroNet Simplex and MicroNet Plus 26166V2 Manual.
