The easYgen-1700 is an AMF Controller, also known as an Automatic Mains Failure Controller, produced and released by Woodward, Inc which is available for your needs at AX Control Inc. The easYgen-1700, also labeled as the 8440-2233 and 8440-2256 models, is one of several modules in Woodward’s easYgen 1000 series, primarily used in stand-by or prime power applications to control a single generator set. The easYgen-1700 is based on the easYgen-1800 platform; however, the easYgen-1700 does not offer Ethernet capabilities or an SD card. It also has a 240 x 128-pixel monochrome liquid crystal display, rather than easYgen-1800’s larger TFT display.
The easYgen-1700 offers comprehensive engine, generator, and utility protection with heavy-duty relays for engine, breaker, and application interfaces. The easYgen-1700 offers USB, RS-485, and CAN J1939 compatibility. It offers three-phase true RMS power sensing with operation modes that include auto, stop, and manual modes. These are accessible through interfaces, discrete inputs, or through the module’s front panel. The module offers event and data logging capabilities (up to 99 events,) using its real-time clock. Configurations can be made through the HMI’s front panel (which is password protected) or from a remote PC via a USB connection. The unit supports multiple languages, which can be configured by the end-user.
