Control model 8440-2256 is produced by Woodward inc under their easYgen-1000 series. This model is available here at AX Control inc from our range of new surplus models or secondhand refurbished models. Let it be noted that you can use this model for strictly start/stop model sequences with that of a single motor if you are strictly using the control for use as a start/stop sequence it will monitor the speed and engine signals through the inputs of the unit, it absolutely cannot operate a circuit breaker if only being used to perform a start/stop sequence.
If during operation you need to stop your engine while your control has entered critical mode you can manually perform this action. During operation, switch your control into manual mode, then press the start/stop button, which will cause the alarms to return to their original alarm classes; you can also switch to stop mode in which you will press the stop button once which will cause the engine to stop and proceed to start cooldown, if you press the stop button twice it will immediately stop the engine without cooldown occurring, the alarms of the control will then return to their original alarm classes.
When you are operating your control make sure that you are watching and ensuring that the entire unit is performing as required, make sure that the GCB remains open throughout the operation of the control and engine; relay eight on the control will consistently be open to ensure that the GCB will always remain open.
