The G3ENET00 model was produced to be an expansion model for the G3 Series of HMIs by Red Lion. The expansion helps to provide a parallel and high-speed architecture to extend both the flexibility and functionality of the G3 Series operator interface terminals. With the additional expansion on the terminal, it helps to make sure that the terminal is completely up to date and has the latest updates without sacrificing any of the performances.
Installing the G3ENET option card to one of the terminals it will be done by removing the back cover of the chosen interface and then attaching the card through the single connector cable and screws. When the card is attached to the terminal it will add an additional auxiliary 10 Base-T or 100 Base-TX Ethernet port that only has one Ethernet resident port. The additional auxiliary Ethernet port will help isolate machine-network traffics from the plant-wide network of the G3 Series HMIs which will neutralize the requirement for an industrial router.
The G3ENET00 model can be configured and will be done through the Crimson software that has been downloaded to the terminal. All of the required drivers and features from the Crimson software can be found on the Red Lion website.
While this card can be used in hazardous locations the user must remember to follow all of the safety regulations. The G3ENET00 card must follow all of the safety regulations needed for the terminal where this card will be mounted. All of the safety regulations help ensure the safety of not only the user but the option card and interface terminal as well.
