Product Description

The G315C230 is the final model in the G3 Series HMIs produced by Red Lion. This model has a 15" TFT XGA graphic, color liquid crystal display that will show the menu and all related texts and information. 

The G315C230 model requires a specific software type to ensure that the model runs properly, the specific software associated with any of the Red Lion products, and specifically the G3 Series HMIs, is Crimson software. The minimum software required to run this model is Crimson 2.0. The manual associated with this software is the LP0577 Crimson 2 User Manual which details the many different features to use with this model and several other factors. Occasionally an issue with the runtime application of this software can occur; when this takes place, the G3 operating system will have a panel reset, and the condition that has caused the reset will be logged in the memory of this device. 

There are very few special features on this device, two of which are the different port types available. An individual USB port on this terminal with two Ethernet serial ports makes the G315C230 model slightly more enhanced than the previous G315C2 model. The extra Ethernet port on this device is labeled as an Auxiliary Ethernet port and requires a NIC, also known as a network interface card wiring type. 

There are a variety of two-wire connection types available with the G315C230 model; one of the connection types available is the G3 model connecting to the modular controller; one example of the G3 connection to the modular controller connection is connecting G3 7, which is labeled as TxB to the Modular Controller 7 which is is also named as TxB.
