Product Description
The G310R230 model has a liquid crystal display (LCD) which is used to display important graphics and text. The LCD touchscreen on this model has a resolution of eight hundred by six hundred pixels with a screen brightness of 400 cd/m². There are two screen types available for this model, the main being TFT with the other being SVGA. Unfortunately, information is limited regarding how the SVGA display operator interface can work.
One key feature of the G310R230 model is that it has dual Ethernet communication ports. The two ports will either be a 100 Base-TX or 10 Base-T port with the associated jack, which is RJ45 being wired as a network interface card. Please note that when wiring the ports to either a switch or hub a straight-through cable should be used but when connecting the network interface card to another network interface card then the best cable to use is a crossover cable.
There are two independently isolated RS232 ports available on this model, the ports available are either a comms or PGM port. It should be noted that only one of these ports supports programming but both have the capability to be used to communicate with a PC. No matter what type of configuration has been chosen for the G310R230 model the RS232 PGM port can be used to perform master or slave protocols. This model can communicate with another G3 Series HMI or the Modular Controller produced by Red Lion if using a cable with RJ12 ends as well as a twist in the cable.
All of the above information pertaining to the G310R230 operator interface terminal can be found in the G310CRS2-E Red Lion 10.4” Color Touchscreen Product Manual which is attached above.
