Product Description
The G310C210 operator interface is the first operator interface terminal in the G310C2 group of models. This model can only be used in indoor applications and has a resistive analog touchscreen interface and can be used with gloved hands once the operator interface has been fully initialized, when using the screen and it is evident that a touch to an active touchscreen cell has been detected a distinct beep will be produced. Located on the left side of the module there is a keypad with eight keys that helps with on-screen menus.
A CompactFlash card can be used with this model and helps maximize the amount of memory. The card types available to use with this model are either Type I or II cards with the lowest amount of megabytes available being four and the largest amount being two gigabytes. Please note that the card should not be inserted into the G310C210 module while power is being applied, doing so can cause potential damage to not only the module but the card. If you would like to access the information that has been accumulated on the card you should insert the CompactFlash card into a card reader attached to a PC. There are several brands of CompactFlash cards that are best suited for operating with Red Lion products such as SanDisk, swissbit, SMART Modular, SimpleTech, and Silicon Systems cards.
If you would like to establish an Ethernet communication with the G310C210 it can be done through either 100 Base-TX or 10 Base-T ports and the associated jack, which is an RJ45 jack, must be wired as a Network Interface Card (NIC). All remaining information required to help operate the G310C210 module can be found in the attached Red Lion bulletin.
