The 8030-RIM-331 is a Class 8030 24 VDC input module for a Sy/Max system. This input module is built with 32 optically isolated inputs. Each of these inputs can receive signals from external devices like pushbuttons, logic circuits, and limit switches. The input module is designed to be used in conjunction with other Sy/Max 8030 modules within 8030 rack systems.
The 8030-RIM-331 has an isolation rating of 2500 VRMS. It is rated 21-29 VDC at 10-14 mA. The unit has an input impedance of 2.15 K ohms.
The 8030-RIM-331 is compatible with a ROM-441 output module. It can b used with several different rack assemblies including RRK-100, RRK-200, and RRK-300 rack systems. There are nine additional compatible rack systems for this unit.
The 8030-RIM-331 weighs approximately 4.4 pounds before the addition of boxing or shipping materials. Your FOB weight will be higher.
This unit is designed with two terminal blocks that are located on the front of the module. Field input devices connect to these blocks. Each terminal block has two common terminals. Typical wiring can be found through Sy/Max data sheets. While surge suppression is suggested in some applications, this is only required when the inductive load is in parallel with the PLC input. Typically, wiring uses #14 or #20 gauge wires.
