Product Description

The 8030-PS-35 from Schneider/Square D/SyMAX is one of several power supplies available from this line of modules. 

This unit is designed to offer +5 VDC power to connected PLCs from the same company.  The power supply is designed with a lithium battery backup to provide RAM (random access memory) for the processor and other rack modules.  This module can be used as a standalone mounted unit or as a side mounded unit.  It uses an ADP100 adapter plate.  

The 8030-PS-35 has a P1 connector that is designed to work in conjunction with a CC15 cable.  Together, these components are capable of carrying 23 Amps at 40 degrees Celsius.  This drops to 20.2 Amps at 50 degrees Celsius, and 15 amps at 60 degrees. 

The 8030-PS-35 has two connection points one labeled P1 with seven openings. They are labeled as follows: A1- +5VDC, 1-AC FAIL, 2- BPOW, A2- Common, 3- No Connection, 4- Battery Low, 5- No Connection.

The second connector is labeled P2 and is labeled as follows: A2- Common, 2- BPOW, 1- AC FAIL, A1- +5 VDC, 5- No Connection, 4- No Connection, 3- No Connection.

The unit has a section on the front of battery installation. Below that are two lights.  One is labeled +5VDC and the second light is a Battery Low.  Unlike a P35F unit, this unit has a power toggle switch.
