8030-CRM-591 is a SY/NET Module Network Interface and is part of the SY/NET Class 8030 series. It is described by SY/MAX as a Unitelway Network Interface Module. 

The front panel of the 8030-CRM-591 features numerous indicator lights, which indicates information including: The activity level on the SY/NET network, whether or not data is being received properly, whether or not data is being transmitted from the device properly, whether or not there is a network error, the current state of the device (primary state, backup state, and transitioning from backup state to primary state), and a power light to show whether or not the 8030-CRM-591 is receiving DC power from the SY/MAX rack assembly. 8030-CRM-591’s front panel also includes thumbwheel switches, used to select the address 8030-CRM-591 uses on the SY/NET network (which are adjusted using a small screwdriver on the side of the module), low-speed communication ports, and a high-speed network port on the bottom of the unit.
