Product Description

This product is a SY/NET Interface module and was a creation of Schneider Electric's Square D division. This device is part of Square D's SY/MAX 8030 family of modules. The module has the dimensions of 2 x 11 x 7. To assist the user in maintenance and safety, the module come with 8 indicator lights that have a corresponding message guide. The purpose of the module is to allow communication between a large system of SY/MAX devices. This system could grow at a healthy rate to a maximum of 200 devices communicating on one network.

Hooking up a CRT monitor to the SY/NET Interface Module allows the user to help the work process in a direct way. With a CRT, the user will be able to the watch over the system's functions and program what those functions are. The UP/DOWN load ladder diagram program allows for the data cells have individualised characteristics. The ability to make cell unique, eases the programming effort on the user. Some of the other features of the system are the force I/O and the cyclic redundancy code.

The SY/NET Interface Module has a large array of port choices for connectivity. There is a high speed SY/NET connector on every module. Along with the SY/NET port, there are two low speed RS-422 ports that can work independently of each other. The RS-422 ports have 4 operating modes that can expedite work flow. These operations are SY/MAX family devices, 8881 programmable controller, net to net. and peripheral devices.
