This Distributed Remote IO/NET Interface Module is a product made by Schneider Electric's Square D division. The module is part of the SY/MAX 8030 class of products. The module allows the user to connect to 32 remote IO/NET devices. The ambient temperature  that keeps the module safe is between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The drive's dimensions are 2.6 x 8.3 x 1.4 with a weight of .67 pounds. The four LED indicators on the system help alert the user to critical functions happening within. A cable that is up to 7500 feet can connect this system to another device. This system comes with freeze outputs that remember their last working state in case of system failure. The failure override ensures that the system can stay safe in critical conditions. Some other features of the system are the automatic restart and the drop shut down.

Square D's Distributed Remote IO/NET Interface Module has a 16-bit CRC to ensure safe message transportation. This module has a transmission rate that can work between 62.5 KB and 1 MB per second. There are 8 DIP switches the user can manipulate to make the module work better. 5 of these DIP switches change the drop number of the system. The other 3 DIP switches are able the change the transmission rates by altering the bit rates. Thanks to the PASSPORT I/O system, the module is compatible with SY/MAX Model 400, 450, 600 and 650.
